The Battle of the Paddles auction this month is to support the For Children Partners, Inc. For Children Partners Inc. was founded with one goal: “EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO MEAL(S) AT SCHOOL”. In Wake County, no child should be denied breakfast and/or lunch. For more information: https://www.forchildrenpartners.org/

It is like an auction, a raffle, a charity fundraiser, and a home party all in one!

How it Works: The doors open at 5:00 PM. The actual auction starts at 6:00 PM. To play, you need a bidding paddle with a number on it. They can be purchased at the door as you come in for $5.00 each. You can buy up to 3 paddles per person. You will need quarters to play. If you didn’t bring any quarters, that’s OK we have quarters available for sale. We accept cash or credit cards. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to purchase a paddle or place a bid. You may bring your child, but please keep them near you.

Between 5:00 and 6:00 PM, you have an opportunity to go around and talk, and shop with each of our local vendors. They will be showing off new items at their tables that are available for sale. Each vendor will be selling raffles to win items from their table. The vendors will accept cash or credit cards.

The auction will start at 6:00 PM. Each vendor will hold up an item for auction for 1 or 2 quarters per paddle. If you wish to bid on the item being auctioned, you would put the 1 or 2 quarters for your paddle into the cup on your table and then raise your paddle. Money must be put in for each paddle you plan to raise. When everyone is in, a number generator will be used to determine the winning number. If your paddle has that number. You win! If a matching numbered paddle is not held up, the auctioneer will draw again until we have a winner. All quarters that you put into the cup during the bidding process go to the vendor.

After all the vendors are done auctioning their items, we start auctioning the items donated by the charity. The same bidding process will be used for these items as for the vendor items. These auction items normally have a value of $25.00 or less. All quarters that you put into the cup during the bidding process for these items go to the charity.

The items donated by the charity with a value of $25.00 or more will be auctioned off by our auctioneer. A real auction.  You will pay for these items at the end of the night and then get your items. All monies for these auctioned items go to the charity.

We close the night out with a number of door prizes.

Be prepared to stay late & go home a winner!!!

It’s a fun night, so be prepared to get addicted.

Here is a map to get to the fun:

We do a different 501C3 charity every month. If you have a charity that you would like us to consider, please call Lori at 919-437-6313.
